Chris, you need to add a “class foward declare” in .h file

Yes, I did leave out some details like includes and such. Sorry about that. Maybe it would be easier if you had the complete project side by side with your “work in progress” project to catch small things like that. I’ll try to include all details in the code snippets in the future tutorials.

Hi Vladimir,

actually I copied and pasted things trying to understand how IT works step by step. Not being familiar with objective C I’m trying to learn things step by step. The first part worked very well – but after fiinishing the second Part I got the error message mentioned above. Maybe there are some .h inclusions missing?

Hi there,

thank ou very much for this really great work. Trying to follow the tutorial I do get an error though. The error is located in RootViewController.h saying “error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before ‘DVDListingViewCell’”. Do you have any idea where this can come from=

I’m new at this iphone app thing. I want to drill down in my app and then place an image on the last cell viewed along with some text, is tutorial easily adaptable to doing that ? I’ve already used a similar tutorial to create the drill down app I want to create, but being too new to thins I am having a problem getting an image in the last cell. Any suggestions?

I’m not really sure what you mean, you want to push a generic view controller instead of pushing another table view controller? In this case you’d just initialize your generic view controller and pass it off that way.

In your current code, your pushing to the Detail view like this:

DetailViewController *controller = [[DetailViewController alloc]
initWithStyle:UITableViewStylePlain
andDvdData:[dao libraryItemAtIndex:indexPath.row]];

Is there just a simple change I can maker here to push it to a view that displays the data? I’m a NOOB so don’t really know if this is a quick thing or not. Many thanks for these great tutorials!
